ARCHITECTURE:
One Wall Centre is a gleaming Vancouver landmark. The
building's unique elliptical shape is a distinctive
addition to Vancouver's skyline. The exterior curtain
wall of the building provides floor-to-ceiling windows
in each suite, offering residents spectacular mountain,
city and ocean views while flooding the rooms with natural
light. Opening windows provide natural ventilation.
One Wall Centre was granted the Best Skyscraper
of 2001 award for design and functionality by
Skyscrapers.com. The building was designed by Peter
Wall and the architects for the project were Busby Perkins+Will.
Scotland's tallest building will be modelled on One
Wall Centre's innovative architecture and distinctive
design. The tower's eye-shaped footprint and extremely
slender construction have been hailed as unique, winning
it BC's top engineering project award in 2002.
